The MIBA hosted eight leaders representing Israel’s HealthTech companies for four days of impactful conversations, meetings and events in the Detroit, Lansing, and Grand Rapids areas. The companies represented solutions to challenges across the healthcare spectrum – from virtual reality-based therapies and training to AI-driven innovations that support hospital operations, logistics, patient support, and quality of care. The delegates represented innovations that can improve patient outcomes and reduce costs across the healthcare sector.
The jam-packed schedule featured meetings with healthcare providers, investors, and thought leaders including Corewell Health (in Detroit and Grand Rapids), Henry Ford Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, UM Health-Sparrow, Michigan State University, Spartan Innovations, Michigan Capital Network, and a host of ecosystem leaders representing the investor and business communities in both regions. Networking dinners each evening helped expand the interactions with Michigan’s business community, including a strolling dinner at The Elevator with members of the Jewish Working Women’s Network.
The eight companies who visited were:
- Anjo.ai – Early detection of of life-threatening allergic reactions
- Epilog – Support for patients transitioning to palliative care
- FeelBetter – AI-powered solution to manage patients who are at high risk related to polypharmacy issues
- Mirror Digitech – Secure unified health information platform to consolidate care information from multiple sources
- OtheReality – VR-based empathy training platform for healthcare providers
- QLOG – SaaS platform designed to enhance operational efficiency in healthcare facilities.
- XRHealth – Extended reality solutions for physical and occupational therapy and mental healthcare
- Jinnovate Project – The Jinnovate project will enable the establishment of new Healthtech startups and provide support to existing startups in Jerusalem.
Because of the generosity of our supporters and with help from a few of our meeting hosts, the MIBA was able to cover the costs of all meals and transportation during the delegation. This was especially appreciated given the challenging times Israeli startups are facing right now. We were even able to offer a travel sponsorship to help offset the exceptionally high costs of travel from Israel, thanks to a grant from the William Davidson Foundation.
“The MIBA’s continuous support could be of great value to our future success,” said Dr. Amit Lehavi, Founder and CEO of QLOGTechnologies. “And this has reinforced our consideration of Michigan as the ideal location for our U.S. headquarters.”
We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to all who took the time to engage with the delegations and particularly The Right Place in Grand Rapids for hosting our closing dinner.
