Who We Are

About MIBA

The Michigan Israel Business Accelerator (MIBA) was established in 2017 as a state-supported economic development NGO dedicated to driving Michigan’s growth by connecting Israeli innovation with Michigan’s industries. Our teams in Michigan and Israel facilitate high-quality, curated connections through delegations, referrals, and events.

In 2023, The Elevator was launched in Detroit, Michigan as the first US landing zone dedicated to Israeli startups & companies.  The Elevator accelerates the expansion of innovative companies from the Startup Nation that choose to scale in Michigan by providing free office space and support services.

To date, MIBA has connected over 4,500 Israeli and Michigan companies, leading to 95 collaborations that have generated $20 million in economic activity for Michigan. These collaborations include expansions, export/import opportunities, grants/pilots, investments, and partnerships.
