The MIBA Israel team continues to expand its network by visiting with ecosystem leaders across regions and sectors. Last month, the team took a trip to the south of Israel to connect with SouthUp, a regional incubator focused on nurturing startups in the Western Negev of Israel in several sectors aligned with the State of Michigan. Additionally, Esther attended an event at the Netter Center, an entrepreneurial Food & Ag Tech hub – just in time to further promote the December AgTech Delegation to Michigan.

As MIBA’s Senior Director of Market Expansion for Michigan/US, I’m dedicated fostering awareness of business partnership opportunities in Michigan, with a particular focus on HealthTech this September. I attended three key events during Israel’s HealthTech Week, highlighted by initiatives and conferences from Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer, which Newsweek recently ranked the 9th Best Hospital in the World.

The climate crisis, a critical issue impacting all areas of life globally, was the central focus of a full week of sustainability tech innovations in Israel in June. The MIBA Israel team participated in three major sustainability innovation events, during a full week devoted to climate technologies:

Tel Aviv has climbed to fourth place in Startup Genome’s annual ranking of the world’s most attractive ecosystems for startups and innovation. Silicon Valley remains in the top spot, with New York and London tied for second.
