At the beginning of April, Michigan Israel Business Accelerator (MIBA) launched its inaugural Investing in Israeli Tech Executive Briefing for Michigan investors.
The Michigan-Israel Business Accelerator, a nonprofit economic development organization in Detroit focused on driving Michigan’s growth by connecting Israeli innovation with the state’s industries, hosted a group of 13 entities from Israel, including 11 defense technology startups, to provide them with a first-hand look at the state’s defense sector.
The current conflict in Israel isn’t stopping Michigan’s efforts, through the Michigan Israel Business Accelerator (MIBA), to build partnerships with Israel. In June, the MIBA, in collaboration with the state of Michigan, supported the EcoMotion Assembly 2024: Mobility Innovation in Times of Disruption (EMA24) in Israel.
The Michigan Israel Business Accelerator (MIBA), the nonprofit international trade organization committed to accelerating Michigan’s economic growth through Israeli corporate connections, assisted Israeli technology company SkillReal with its plans to establish its U.S. headquarters, SkillReal North America, in Michigan, creating 20 jobs near Detroit.
The first-ever Women in Mobility delegation to Michigan, an initiative spearheaded by Israeli smart mobility community leader Orlie Gruper, toured Metro Detroit businesses, exchanged ideas and forged new relationships between the two tech hubs. The delegation was also made possible thanks to partnerships with Michigan Israel Business Accelerator (MIBA), Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), and the Office of Future Mobility and Electrification (OFME) of the State of Michigan.
