Elevating Innovation: Michigan’s Advantage

Michigan’s innovation engine is in high gear this fall, with three powerhouse events showcasing the state’s strength as a hub for technology, talent, and transformation. Fresh off hosting the Reindustrialize Conference—which brought national attention to how Michigan is reshaping the future of advanced manufacturing—we’re keeping the momentum rolling.

  • Grand Rapids Tech Week (September 15-20) brings together entrepreneurs, investors, and tech leaders to celebrate the city’s growing role as a destination for digital innovation and creative problem-solving. From pitch competitions to hands-on demos, the week highlights West Michigan’s momentum in building companies of the future. The kick-off event is featuring none other than Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.
  • Detroit’s Mobility Week (September 20 – 27) puts Michigan’s leadership in transportation innovation on the global stage. Developed in partnership with the State of Michigan and anchored by the the Mobility Innovation Exchange conference (“The MIX”) and MOVE America conference, Mobility Week is a curated constellation of panels, salons, venture showcases, executive briefings, startup field tours, and ecosystem roundtables that together showcase a global stage for future mobility.
  • A2Tech360 (Sept 24 – Oct 3) in Ann Arbor offers a unique chance to peek inside the startups, labs, and accelerators shaping Michigan’s reputation as a global center for R&D. With open houses, networking, and community showcases, the event connects talent and technology in a way that only Ann Arbor can.

Together, these events reflect the depth and diversity of Michigan’s innovation landscape. From the West to the East side of the state—and the tech corridors in between—Michigan isn’t just part of the innovation economy; it’s helping lead it.
