MIBA Attends Energy Tech Week 2025 in Tel Aviv

Written by Esther Loewy, MIBA Senior Director of Market Expansion – Michigan/US

I was delighted to represent the MIBA and the State of Michigan at the Energy All Stars 2025, back for a repeat year in Tel Aviv, with a number of events for the ecosystem of investors, multinational companies, startups, NGO’s, and government entities.

The annual event was organized by Ignite the Spark, whose mission is to to support the growth of the Israeli energy tech ecosystem through both domestic and international partnerships. Its vision is to serve as “ a community incubator for scientists, business professionals, regulators, academics, investors, and most importantly, entrepreneurs in the field who will develop the future of Energy Tech.”

Along the way, I met old and new friends alike, including BIRD Energy’s Deputy Executive Director Limor Nakar Vincent who had positive feedback on the MIBA and is keen to pursue industry, academia and startup collaboration between Michigan and Israel.

Engaging roundtables and panels included:

  • How MNC’s Are Accelerating Climate Innovation
  • Navigating the New Era of Energy Investments
  • From Grid to Growth – How Utilities are Powering Energy Innovation

The week’s event climax was a startup pitch, featuring the most exciting new Israeli energy startups.

It was an energizing week filled with meaningful connections, fresh ideas, and new opportunities for collaboration. We look forward to building on this momentum and continuing to position Michigan as a key partner in the global energy tech ecosystem.
